Deepen your experience of dance in this transformative moving meditation practice.
Carefully curated music and gentle verbal guidance invite you to tune-in to the natural wisdom of the body and embark on an inward journey, cultivating awareness, authentic expression, and personal insight.
Close your eyes and be moved.
DANCEmandala is perfect for you if:
- You are seeking new ways to connect to your body and express yourself creatively. For those who love music but are new to dance, this practice will be a supportive and nonjudgmental gateway. It might feel scary or edgy to try a free-form dance where there is no right or wrong way to move, but you're curious and drawn in by the idea too!
- You consider dance to be your element and favorite way to express and process, but are seeking something deeper. As much as you love a dance class or dance party, you are seeking a more sacred and intentional container where the dance is honored as a meditation and insight-oriented body-mind-soul practice.

Learn More About the DANCEmandala Practice:
“It is a method of moving meditation that encourages natural and authentic self-expression, re-connection to one's core essence, one’s creative life force, awareness and equanimity” - AK Tri-siddha, founder of DANCEmandala
WHAT TO EXPECT:
In an online session, you will join the group via Zoom. You're welcome to transition into the dance in whatever way feels good for you such as breathing, stretching, moving, or sitting in stillness as the practice begins. The DANCEmandala meditation is about an hour and a half long, and follows a similar structure each time. Through the use of specific music and verbal guidance, the facilitator will guide you through different stages of the meditation. You will likely notice a warm up, rising energy, connection the the heart space, and a final stillness meditation. However, different aspects of the meditation will stand out to different dancers on different days! You are invited to close your eyes, turn inward, and focus on the sensations and movements of your body. You may explore any type of movement or stillness throughout the dance, always following the intuition of your body. We end with a closing circle and sharing.
Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a water bottle. This is a sober event - trust the dance to take you where you need to go.
While many people find DANCEmandala to be insightful and therapeutic, this practice is not a form of therapy nor meant as a substitute for mental health treatment.
